To transfer lettering to light coloured fabric either trace with pencil or soluble pen using a lightbox if necessary. To transfer lettering to darker fabric trace using carbon paper or wax pencil method.
I recommend using chain stitch, back stitch or back stitch with couching for embroidering lettering.
